Unreached People Groups

Aftikous Mamathe

Missionary – Unreached People Groups

Last born from a family of 6 children, Pastor Afrikous gave his life to Jesus at the age of 14. He is married to Hormo Judith, and they have 3 children: Nehemie, Gloria and Ben-Shalom.

At the age of 18, he responded to the call of our Lord JESUS in Chad Republic, Central Africa. He pastored churches for more than eight years in Chad, and is still pastoring here in Sahel Zone. After five years of training in Accra, Ghana in The Pan African Theological College (PACUC), he heard the voice and the call of God to work as a missionary among the unreached people groups. For the past eight years he has been working among the unreached people groups in a French speaking country with 75 ethnic unreached people groups.

Africa harbours the largest number of unreached people groups : 989. An estimated of 26.7% of the population in Africa is unreached. The Church of God in Africa focuses on some unreached people groups in Africa, as the Lord leads. In the Sahel Zone, that stretches from the Atlantic to the Nile, dividing the Sahara itself from the forested regions to the south with a very different culture, we have 592 unreached people groups alone. Many in Africa have not yet heard the gospel of our Lord JESUS CHRIST.

Our vision is to see Christ reigning in lives in Africa, bringing a Biblical spiritual transformation in Africa through our work among the unreached people groups.

Through evangelism, teachings of the word of God, people are reached and introduced to Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Schools are a haven to teach and empower children for the continuity of the work on a social and spiritual level. Evangelization among the unreached people groups in Africa’s Sahel Zone also takes place through mobile and established medical clinics.

Our prayer is to see God moving among the people of Africa. Join us and let us work together to see the Kingdom established among the unreached in Africa as a whole and in the Sahel zone.
