In 2009 Waneda Brownlow was appointed as Children’s Ministry coordinator for Africa. She pioneered the program and shared her love and vision for children’s ministry with many.On August 24, 2014 the Lord called her home to glory. Yet, the vision she had planted was carried on and found new impetus through the partnership with Hope for One, under the Leadership of Christian Peters who continues to train and equip workers for children’s ministry, also within CoG Africa. There is special emphasis and effort of Children’s Ministry in Lome, Togo through Timothy Gbo and “Brother” Daniel), Maputo Mozambique, through Celia Mendes, Lusaka, Zambia through Damaris Vollmar, Everaldo and Lydia Nascimento in Guinea Bissau, Emma’s Kids in Mufulira Zambia, and through CoG Latino Missionaries in Ben Barak, Senegal. In addition emphasis on children’s ministry has been established in many countries throughout the continent, not counting the number of orphanages that are operational.
